What A Week--{{GRIN}}

May 1, 2013

It has been an amazin' week since I last posted, startin' with about an hour after my last post on Wednesday of last week.

After checkin' in with ya'll, Obie and I finished out errands and went home to fix lunch. I had just gotten out the stuff for our meal, when my phone rang.

It was a gentleman who had received a copy of the Redneck's resume, which I had mailed on Monday. We spoke for over 30 minutes, with him askin' and me answerin' questions. I told him that if he spoke with the Redneck and they decided that he would be hired, I would drive the four hours to bring him home. I thought it would be a few weeks before a decision was made.

However...

...at the end of 30 minutes, the man said, "Okay, go get him."

"What?"

"He's hired, he starts tomorrow, go get your husband."

Folks, my knees buckled, and I couldn't catch my breath. I asked if he was serious, and he said yes, he was very serious, and to take a deep breath, clear my head, and then drive out to get the Redneck.

We hung up after a few more minutes, and I was sorta just standin' there, until I threw my hands up in the air and shouted,

"THANK YOU FATHER! THANK YOU!"

I was on an adrenaline high that was unbelievable. I called the Redneck and left a message, sayin' "Baby, pack your stuff--I'm comin' to get you, you got the job! Be there in a few hours!" (He later told me that I sounded hysterical in the message, and that it took him a couple of times to actually understand what was goin' on. Hey, I was HAPPY, so sue me!)

I made arrangements for the animal's evenin' feedin', gassed up the truck, and Obie and I headed west. We arrived just as thge Redneck got back to his hotel room, tired and dirty (the Redneck, not us). I explained about the new job, and we werr packed up, on the road and back home by 2 a.m. the next mornin'.

So now I have my Beloved Redneck back at home, with a better payin' job, WAY better hours, and he works only a few miles from home. He is doin' what he loves, and the folks all seem to be really nice.

God finally answered our prayers about a better workin' condition for my husband, and it surpasses anything I could have asked for (He always does, doesn't He?) We had prayed for so long about his bein' able to be home, and yet God answered in HIS time, not ours. He had to get us all to where we were ready for this blessin', and so we had to go through some really difficult times, but it was worth it.

Of course, I had to look up scripture about God's timin', and I found the followin' (Emphasis added by me):

For the vision is yet for an appointed time and it hastens to the end [fulfillment]; it will not deceive or disappoint. Though it tarry, wait [earnestly] for it, because it will surely come; it will not be behindhand on its appointed day. Habakkuk 2: 3

Thus says the Lord, In an acceptable and favorable time I have heard and answered you, and in a day of salvation I have helped you; and I will preserve you and give you for a covenant to the people, to raise up and establish the land [from its present state of ruin] and to apportion and cause them to inherit the desolate [moral wastes of heathenism, their] heritages. Isaiah 49: 8

My times are in Your hands; deliver me from the hands of my foes and those who pursue me and persecute me. Psalm 31: 15

When the proper time has come, I will judge uprightly [says the Lord]. Psalm 75: 2

And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel). Mark 1: 15

It is time for the Lord to act; they have frustrated Your law. Psalm 119: 126

He said to them, It is not for you to become acquainted with and know what time brings [the things and events of time and their definite periods] or fixed years and seasons (their critical niche in time), which the Father has appointed (fixed and reserved) by His own choice and authority and personal power. Acts 1: 7

It was not my job to know when God would answer our prayers--it was my job to PRAY and to TRUST that God would answer them--in HIS way and HIS time.

So the next time ya'll think you're wastin' your time waitin' on an answer to prayer--keep prayin'--it's comin'.
