A Disturbing Incident--With A Happy Ending

February 15, 2013

I wasn't sure I wanted to tell this story, but I think I should, because it shows how important it is for a young person to know how to defend themselves.

The Redneck's cousin has a daughter who is about 13 years old. She and her family live outside of town in a lovely little area with fields, trees, etc. Typical country surrounding's.

Recently, the daughter, her brother and their mom were all outside in the yard, and around the late afternoon, the mom and brother went into the house, while the girl went to take care of the family goats, since it was her turn.

She went into the feed shed, and a man wearing aski mask came up from behind and grabbed her.

Fortunately, the girl has been taking martial arts classes since she was little, so she didn't panic. Instead, she turned and struck her attacker in the nose and um...other places, shall we say, that were definately uncomfortable for him.

When he let her go, she ran to the house, shouting, "Momma--GET THE GUN!"

When the sherrif arrived, the man was gone, and the officers say that he must have had a car or motorcycle stashed nearby, or he may even have lived close enough to have walked to the shed.

I am happy to report that the girl is fine, and she has no fear of going out to tend to chores, even after such a close call.

I pray that this man is caught before he tries and succeeds in harming another young woman.

Because the parents of this wonderful young lady had her take lessons in self defense, she was prepared to protect herself. This didn't take place in an urban area--it was in a quiet country lane.

Evil doesn't just stay where there are a lot of folks--it comes out and seeks for victims.

Well, I got chores. Later ya'll.
