Well, I am now a writer with a few (note the word FEW) sales under my belt. I took my five little copies into church Sunday mornin’, and took out a copy to show a friend. Before I could even open it up—she had bought it.
I took out another copy to show one of our elders, and before I could open it—HE bought it.
Again, I took out a copy to show and…
…you guessed it. It was sold.
I had sold three copies within 20 minutes of walkin’ in the doors.
I wasn’t even tryin’ to sell it, I was just wantin’ to SHOW the darn thing!
Other folks have ordered copies, so I will be goin’ back to the print shop this week to have more books put together. I have made a little money, and my work is out there in print. Oh—and the local library wants one! I’m gonna be featured as a local author!
Okay—NOW I am nervous.
I mean, I know my friends like my poetry and Shawn’s artwork—but most of them have never read my essays. I know that I have done the best I can on them, and I point out in my introduction that the essays are MY viewpoint, not deep spiritual truths.
This is gonna sound sooooo Jr High School, but…
What if they don’t LIKE my book?
Yeah, I’m pitiful.
Extremely CUTE--but pitiful...
Well, I got chores. Later ya'll.
